"Last night I received a call no parent ever wants," the post began. "My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has passed away, she was only 26 years old.

"Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER.

"Please keep my family in your thoughts prayers as we navigate through this terrible tragedy. Please understand and respect our privacy at this time. We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, granddaughter Lyla and family members."

No cause of death was provided when the Maryland Department of Health Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed Jordan's passing to E! News.

Jordan is mum to daughter Genevieve 'Evie' Shae Taylor who she shared with her ex-boyfriend, Derek Taylor.

The trio appeared on an episode of 16 And Pregnant in 2014 which documented young mum Jordan's struggles with unemployment and homelessness after her family turned their backs on her because they disapproved of Derek.

Jordan and Derek later split, and a year after her stint on the reality TV show, Jordan signed over temporary custody rights of Evie to Derek's mother.

Jordan reportedly battled mental health issues and addiction and was previously arrested for drug possession, according to Deadline but in recent years had started to turn her life around.

She took to Facebook in January 2021 to announce plans to celebrate one year of sobriety with her church recovery group.
