A driver displayed double the stupidity on the weekend when she was caught using two mobile phones while behind the wheel.

Traffic enforcement group officers stopped the woman in Canning Vale on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the woman was so engrossed in her two mobiles that she did not notice a motorcycle officer pull up alongside her.

She was issued with a fine and a demerit point penalty.

Police statistics show inattention was linked to 55 fatal crashes between 2010 and 2013.
