Angelina Jolie's youngest daughter was not afraid of her character in Maleficent.

The 38-year-old actress has revealed that her five-year-old little girl, Vivienne, who also appears briefly as a young Princess Aurora in the upcoming Disney film, was the only child completely unfazed by her mother's scary costume.

Speaking at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Saturday, Jolie said: "These little kids would visit the set, and I would think, 'Oh, I am a Disney character,' so I would go over to them, and say, 'Hi there.' They would just scream. One little kid even said, 'Mommy, please make the mean witch stop talking to me.'

"Vivienne was the only 4-year-old who didn't scream when she saw me!"

The Oscar-winning actress, who has five other children, Maddox, 12, Pax, nine, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, seven, and Knox, also five, with her fiance, Brad Pitt, also revealed that she was thrilled to take on the role of the evil villain of Sleeping Beauty, according to EW.com.

She said: "My children love Disney. You know you can bring your kids to a Disney film.

"Since I was a little girl, Maleficent was always my favourite. I was terrified of her, but I was so drawn to her. She had this elegance and grace, and yet she was so cruel. Just wonderfully and deliciously cruel."
