Gun to head of quadriplegic man during violent home invasion.

Warren Kruger, an Ipswich quadriplegic, had a gun pointed at his head during a violent home invasion by three masked men.

The bed-bound victim couldn't call for help, and had to wait eight terrifying hours for his carer to arrive on Monday morning.

Paralysed from the waist down, Warren Kruger told Seven News he was just happy to be alive, after three masked men burst through his bedroom door at 11.30 Sunday night.

The 42-year-old was in bed when the men rushed into his room and threatened to kill him.

"They put a pillow over my head and said, 'Don't look at us, don't look at us, we'll kill you. We'll shoot you, we'll knee cap you," Mr Kruger told Seven News.

"I'm just happy to be alive, I'm glad they left me here."

The men ransacked his room looking for money, medication, and a safe that doesn't exist.

"They really threatened me. They put what felt like a gun barrel to my head."

His attackers knew he couldn't fight back, and stole his mobile phone to make sure he couldn't call for help.

They also took his personal alarm and his nephew's car.

Warren has relied on support since breaking his back in a waterslide accident seven years ago, and had to wait eight hours for his carer to arrive this morning.

"They did say they'd been watching me and they said they'd keep watching me for the next couple of weeks," he said.

Warren told Seven News that despite the threat, he's determined to continue living by himself with the help of family, friends, and a new security system.
