Light plane crash southwest of Sydney, two injured

Two people have survived a light plane crash southwest of Sydney on Thursday morning.

Crews responded to the crash in a paddock on Aerodrome Road, Cobbitty, 8km north of Camden about 11.20am.

Paramedics are currently treating two people, a pilot and a passenger, who have been transported to Liverpool Hospital.

A foam blanket has also been placed over the plane.

An ambulance spokesman said a man and a woman, believed to be in their 20s, were being treated for a number of injuries.

“The male has facial, head and limb injuries,” he said.

“The female has an ankle injury.

"Both are in a stable condition."
