Police find hydro-house in Campbelltown

A tip-off has led to the discovery of a cannabis-growing operation in a house in Sydney's southwest and a man being charged, police say.

Upon receiving information from the public, detectives searched a home on Lindesay Street, Campbelltown, at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Police allegedly found the garage had been converted into two rooms with 35 cannabis plants and cannabis leaf.

A 47-year-old man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant by enhanced means, and was granted conditional bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on October 13.
