Man dead and four pedestrians injured in Adelaide crash

A man is dead and four people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a group of pedestrians in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

Police said a vehicle crashed into the group of five pedestrians on Marion Rd at North Plympton before hitting a tree just before 9pm yesterday.

The 32-year-old man from St Marys who was driving the vehicle died at the scene.

Four of the five pedestrians were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing.

Meanwhile, another died on the state’s roads yesterday when his car slammed into a tree at Mail Rd in Harrogate in the Adelaide Hills.

Emergency services were called to the crash just before 7.30pm yesterday, but the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
