Sydney man critical after falling from taxi

A man is in a critical condition after falling from a moving taxi in Sydney overnight.

The 18-year-old from Newtown suffered severe head injuries after falling from the cab in Tempe.

He was believed to be a rear passenger.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1am this morning where they found the man seriously injured.

He was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

The taxi driver is assisting police with their investigation. Police from Newtown Local Area Command are trying to work out the circumstances of the incident.
