Diver drowns in Sydney's south
A man has drowned while diving in Sydney's south.
The man, aged in his 30s, failed to resurface while swimming with his partner at Brighton Le Sands on Monday about 7pm.
It took police and surf lifesavers more than an hour to find his body. He was found about 8.30pm.
Emergency services attempted CPR but he could not be saved.
Police said he was not caught or entangled in the shark nets, and he was found outside the netted area.
His death is still being investigated.
