WATCH: Violent hold-up at Ipswich takeaway store

Seven News has exclusive video of a brother and sister fighting back during a violent armed hold-up at their Ipswich takeaway store.

Tom Chang was stabbed in the arm during the terrifying attack.

A traffic controller came to his rescue as he began to collapse.

A masked man demanded money and tried to go behind the counter, moving towards the brother and sister.

Chang, 25, grabbed a chair and pointed it towards the intruder, who points his knife right back.

During the ensuing scuffle Chang was stabbed in the arm.

The fight then moved outside with blood spilling on the floor.

His sister armed herself with a speaker and a roll of Glad Wrap in the panic.

"I only have one brother, so I don't want to lose him," she said.

A traffic controller was outside the shop when he realised what had happened.

He raced to help the victim and sent a radio call out to nearby co-workers.

19-year-old Taite Fisher wrapped his shirt around Tom Chang's arm to stop the bleeding.

The attacker and his alleged accomplice were found at a nearby house after dropping a wallet containing photo ID.

"I don't want to work in the shop anymore, but I have no choice," Tom's sister said.
