Female guard, 21, 'had relationship with inmate and sent her besotted love notes'
A former UK female prison inmate claims she engaged in an ongoing tryst with a female guard at the risk of possible prosecution.
Sydnee Offord, 29, claimed in an interview with The Sun newspaper that a younger prison guard at HMP Send became infatuated with her during her stint behind bars.
Offord said 21-year-old Faron Selvage allegedly broke prison rules at the risk to her own job and potential prosecution when she sparked up a romance with the inmate in her cell.
The romance started with "frequent" visits to Offord's cell and Selvage's admission that "she had never felt this way about a woman before", Offord alleges.
"It happened virtually every time she came to my cell," Offord told the newspaper.
The guard and inmate carried on the alleged romance for some time, sending loving messages, texts and chocolates despite the prisoner officer having a boyfriend.

Offord said she warned the younger guard about the danger's to her career and risk of a criminal record, but Selvage allegedly said she "didn't care".
The prisoner said she cut off the relationship when her guard allegedly began sending "naked selfies".

Selvage has been contacted for comment but so far the jailer has not spoken on the allegations.
