Two men to appear in court over Gold Coast shooting

Queensland Police have charged two men following a shooting at a house on the Gold Coast.

Two men are in hospital after a confrontation at a house at Olf Warf Road, Pimpama about 5.15pm.

The men, aged 24 and 58, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers allege two men and a woman entered the house about 5pm, an altercation occurred and a firearm was shot, injuring the two men.

Police said the two men and the woman then ran away from the scene.

Officers then searched the area for the group using the police helicopter and the dog squad.

A 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old man were later arrested and charged with intending to main.

The older man was also charged with the unlawful possession of a weapon, while the younger man was charged with drug possession.

They are both due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
