Man arrested after double shooting, police hunting for another man and a woman
A man has been arrested and police are searching for a man and a woman after a double shooting at a house on the Gold Coast.
Emergency crews responded to several triple zero calls around 5.15pm reporting a man had been shot on Old Wharf Road at Pimpama on the Gold Coast.
When they arrived emergency services found two men – one aged in his 20s and the other his 50s – with gunshot wounds.
Both of the men have non-life threatening injuries and have been transported to hospital.
A man was taken into custody by police a short time later and he is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Officer are also searching for another man and woman who they believe may be involved in the incident.
A statement from police states that "preliminary information suggest that three people attended an address on Old Wharf Road just after 5pm during which time a firearm was discharged and two male occupants of the house were injured. The trio then fled".
Officers continue to investigate.
