“I am completely against domestic violence, and would never physically abuse a female and believe certain action should be taken of course, sadly the truth that I know hasn't came out yet.

“For the people who are thought to know all the information and facts in the matter, that is completely fine, and your entitled to your own opinion from the outside, this matter will continue for quite some time now and that's all I will say on this subject for now,” Dryden posted via social media.

His post goes on to thank people for messages of support.

A short video was reportedly played to the court of the boxer outside a man’s home, where Dryden said, "She's been lying to me the whole time. Here is her car in front of his house."

In the video, believed to be originally posted to Snapchat, Dryden claims his ex-girlfriend was cheating on him, according to online reports.

Dryden reportedly told the court he spotted his ex-girlfriend’s car outside a friend’s house while he was on the way to the gym, before calling his twin brother and the victim’s brother, who reportedly didn’t believe his sister would cheat on the boxer and wanted proof.

The court reportedly heard the boxer went into the house but denied touching his ex.

"I train every day, if I had taken hold of her throat there would be a lot more damage," Dryden reportedly said.

A magistrate found Dryden guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but the back-up charge of common assault was withdrawn and the charge of entering a building with intent to commit an indictable offence was dismissed, according to the Newcastle Herald.

The matter is listed for sentencing on March 7, 2016.
