Digger diaries go online: Thousands of WWI records available at ANZAC Connections

The Australian War Memorial is bringing stories from the Great War to your home.

Thousands of rare personal accounts, letters and diaries from the First World War can now be accessed online, as part of the 'ANZAC Connections' project.

"It's interesting to get an insight into the way in which people were thinking about their families, the way they were thinking about people back home who cared for them and the way in which they were relating with each other," the War Memorial's Tim Sullivan said.

It took nearly three years for the collection to be compiled. To find out more visit the Australian War Memorial Anzac Connections biographies page.
