Truckie punch-up halts traffic

Police are calling for witnesses to a punch-up at an East Victoria Park intersection on Tuesday which left a 27-year-old man with facial injuries.

Just after 9.30am, the drivers of a light truck and a van started arguing at the corner of Albany Highway and Shepperton Road.

The men eventually got out of their cars and the argument turned physical.

The 27-year-old sustained a broken nose and facial injuries during the clash, while a 31-year-old man received minor injuries to his arm.

Both men then returned to their cars and drove away from the area.

The 27-year-old was treated at Royal Perth Hospital a short time later.

A police spokeswoman said the dispute caused significant traffic delays.

Anyone who was near the intersection during the incident should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
