Drowning may impact pool law

A coroner is likely to recommend changes to swimming pool safety laws after the drowning of Kalgoorlie boy James Gregory Box last year.

An inquest into the three-year-old's death on March 11 ended in Kalgoorlie Coroner's Court yesterday.

In his closing submissions, counsel assisting the coroner Sgt Lyle Housiaux said lessors First National Kalgoorlie, property owner Ross Baker and the former partner of James' mother all played a part in the tragic incident.
