When sporting celebrations go wrong
Lewis Hamilton claimed his second Formula One drivers’ championship at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix yesterday.
The British driver gained the upper hand in his fierce rivalry with Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, who finished second in the chase.
And naturally, Hamilton's girlfriend and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger couldn’t wait to celebrate with him.
That’s fair enough.
It’s fine be excited about your man’s achievements.
But surely she could have at least waited until he took his helmet off to plant a big kiss on him?

The ‘helmet kiss” has made headlines around the world and will likely become the enduring image of Hamilton’s victory.
It’s also become a hit on social media, with tweeters dubbing it the ‘Daft Punk kiss’.
