Teenage football star writes off $290,000 Lamborghini
Lazio youngster Keita Balde Diao was lucky to walk away without injury after writing off his £160,000 (AU$290,000) Lamborghini Gallardo.
According to the Daily Mail, the 19-year-old footballer lost control and crashed the luxury sports car in Rome last weekend.
Pictures have since emerged online of the damage and it's fair to say the ride is going to need more than a new coat of paint.
As rumours began to swirl about Diao being drunk behind the wheel, his agent Ulisse Savini set the record straight with Italian website Tutto Mercato.
"In the light of reports in certain newspapers this morning, I want to underline that Keita was not drunk," Savini said.
"While reports said that he had a blood alcohol level of 0.34...it isn't true. He was completely sober."
The news will come as a welcome relief to the Diao's growing list of suitors, with Arsenal and Liverpool both previously linked with the Spanish striker.
