Rent Salim Mehajer's house for a pretty penny
Colourful former deputy mayor Salim Mehajer’s Western Sydney property is available for rent – with a hefty price tag.
Mr Mehajer drew nationwide attention in 2015 when he held a $50 million wedding, which caused the closure of Frances Street outside his house in Lidcombe.
The unauthorised event was held while he was serving as the deputy mayor of Auburn and included supercars, helicopters and a jet flyover.
But most recently he’s made headlines for a number of legal stoushes including accusations of electoral fraud.
Mr Mehajer’s four-storey house is now being advertised for rent by Surething Realty Property Leasing, and shows off “opulent interiors, stunning finishes” and a “custom made Swarovski crystal chandelier” for $2950 a week.
The six-bedroom, five-bathroom home also features its own swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a private sauna.
“Enjoy the luxury of having your own home theatre system with premium massage chairs,” the ad reads.
“Ride the lift to an exclusive roof top to soak up the sun and admire panoramic views of the city skyline.

The former deputy mayor’s house has 56 surveillance cameras and a self-irrigated landscape system.
It’s not known where Mr Mehajer plans on living while renting the property.
