Alleged Revesby gunman was on bail, once investigated by terror cops

A man at the centre of an attempted armed robbery was out on bail and once investigated by terror police.

The 36-year-old Yagoona man was allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery at Revesby where he, along with two other men, tried to rob $100,000 from a security guard on Friday.

The group got away empty-handed but the gunman handed himself in overnight.

He’s been denied bail but Seven News understands he was already out on bail for drug possession and car theft, and had charges by the terror squad.

It’s alleged he has several stealing, assault and drug convictions including cannabis, ecstasy, ice and cocaine.

It’s further alleged in 2011 he made bomb threats using Facebook to ASIO headquarters, Goulburn’s SuperMax jail and Bankstown Police Station.

“Kill all Christians and Jews,” he alleged posted on Facebook.

The man made an appearance at Parramatta court on Saturday and he didn’t apply for bail.
