Acrobat falls 10 metres during performance in Central Asia
Amateur footage has captured the shocking moment a circus acrobat fell 10 metres during a performance in Central Asia.
Members of the audience in Tajikistan gasped as she fell, but the lucky performer managed to walk away without any serious injuries.
The act started off gracefully, with the woman ascending high into the big top with a fellow male acrobat.
They start to spin as they travel up the high wire and begin a tricky maneuver in front of a mesmerised audience.
The woman lets go of her wire, relying on her partner to carry her with his legs.
The death-defying stunt turned even more deadly when she slipped out of his clutches, spiraling quickly toward the ground.
One witness said: “Several circus people ran into the arena to her side to see how badly injured she really was. I for one thought she would not be getting up again,” the Daily Mail reported.
The acrobat was able to stand up and bow before leaving the arena, prompting a massive applause from the crowd.
Lifenews reported that she miraculously had no broken bones after the terrifying incident.
She is recovering at home.
