Woman restrained trying to 'open exit door' on Boston flight
A woman has been forcibly restrained on a British Airways flight from London to Boston after allegedly trying to open an exit door mid-flight.
The passenger was restrained for the rest of the flight and arrested when the plane touched down, after staff from the airline notified local police.
Massachusetts State Police said the woman “was intoxicated” and confirmed the incident was not related to terrorism.
The woman will likely face charges of 'interfering with flight crew'.
Airline reported to MSP that female passenger has been restrained during flight, allegedly for trying to enter cockpit.

Investigation determines passenger was intoxicated, tried to open EXIT door, not cockpit door. No known nexus to terrorism at this time.

In a statement, British Airways referred to the woman as “an unruly customer” and said it would “not tolerate abusive behavior”.
The incident came amid heightened fears across the US and other countries after the Paris attacks on Friday and recent confirmation from Russia that a bomb was responsible for bringing down a flight in Egypt.
