Woman allegedly slashes face of her boyfriend's dead ex-girlfriend
Oklahoma police have arrested a woman who they say slashed a woman’s corpse at a funeral home.
Shaynna Sims, 26, faces charges of illegal dissection.
Police spokesman Shane Tuell told reporters Ms Sims was dating the dead woman’s ex-boyfriend.
On Thursday night police were called to the funeral home following reports of vandalism.
Witnesses told police they saw Ms Sims put her hands inside the casket.
The dead woman’s face was cut from her hairline to the tip of her nose, her makeup was smeared and some of her hair was left on the floor.
Police arrested Ms Sims at the dead woman’s apartment.
A spokesman said the suspect was carrying a folding knife with the woman’s hair still attached.
The dead woman’s son told police Ms Sims allegedly told him she wanted access to the apartment to get jewellery for the funeral.
