Tributes made to San Bernardino victims
American media has made a special tribute to some of the 14 victims that were killed in the San Bernardino massacre in California.
Twelve of the 14 victims were San Bernardino County employees, police chief Jarrod Burguan said at a press conference on Thursday, working for its health department.
Attorneys representing the family of the California mass shooters have described the couple as devout Muslims but said there was no sign they had become radicalised.
Syed Farook, 28, and his 27-year-old wife Tashfeen Malik died in a shootout with police, hours after killing 14 people at a year-end party organised by Mr Farook's employer in San Bernardino on Wednesday.
The FBI said the shooting, the deadliest in the country in three years, was being treated as an "act of terrorism" but there was no evidence yet linking the pair to a network.
The NBC network has profiled some of the victims, many between 20 to 50 years of age, who family has provided loving insights to.
Some survivors of the attack are recovering in hospital. Denise Paraza was shot but managed to text her family, according to the LA Times, from under a table where she hid.
