Worker knocked out in hotel robbery

A hotel employee has been discovered unconscious by a co-worker after a robbery at a hotel south of Adelaide overnight.

Police say a worker arrived at the Crown Hotel in Victor Harbor at about 7am and found a fellow staff member unconscious in the hotel.

The man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Police say an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

They are reviewing security footage, but say that at this stage of the investigation, it is unknown how many people were involved.

It is believed the robbery took place between 6.20am and 6.35am.
