Cheated-lover warns of the dangers of revenge porn

A Scottish woman who was put on the sex offenders’ list after posting revenge porn pictures has warned others not to make the same mistake.

Just weeks after giving birth, 32-year-old Lorraine Donoghue found a pair of women’s underwear and a sex toy under her 37-year-old boyfriend Willie Crawford’s bed in April 2015.

She then found explicit videos and photographs on Mr Crawford’s Facebook account between him and an 18-year-old girl.

Ms Donoghue, who is a mother of three, admitted to Falkirk Sheriff Court that she sent six of the graphic images to friends, as well as to the girl’s mother and boyfriend.

She was placed on the Sex Offender’s register in October but has since been taken off when a Sheriff later ruled that the offence was ‘vengeful, not sexual’.

Ms Donohue told the Daily Record that she knew what she had done was “nasty” but she had acted in “a moment of madness and utter desperation and anger”.

“I knew he was a womaniser and he had cheated before but when I left he wouldn’t leave me alone and begged me to take him back,” she said.

“In the end, he wasn’t worth it. I am a mum and have kids to think about and I shouldn’t have done what I did.

Ms Donohue said she wanted to move on and put the mess behind her but wanted to warn other other women.

“I want other women to be aware of the real dangers of getting back at any cheating lover,” she said.

Ms Donoghue was not the first to go to extreme lengths - including breaking the law - to get revenge on a cheating partner.
