Workers find body in suburban Brisbane drain
Workers have discovered a body in a suburban Brisbane drain.
A crime scene has been established on Granada Street in Wynnum after workers reported the finding to police just after midday on Wednesday.
The body, believed to be a man, was found during a routine check at a sewage facility, the Courier Mail reported.
“A number of maintenance workers attended the scene in order to check on the pumping station and located the man’s body late this morning,” Police Inspector Owen Elloy told the publication.
It is unclear if the drain is above or below ground and whether the body was put there or was washed in.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said an investigation was underway.
