Wife's drastic measure to make 'anti-vax' husband get Covid jab

A woman believed to be fed up with her husband’s anti-vaxxer views and refusal to get a vaccine has reportedly tied him up and dragged him to a healthcare facility to get a Covid-19 jab.

Video filmed in Alagoas, Brazil, from last Saturday shows the man sitting on a chair in what appears to be the waiting room.

It was filmed by a person waiting to get a Covid-19 vaccine.

He has a rope tied around his arms and body, with the woman, reportedly his wife, standing in front of him and holding it in one hand.

Local media reported that the man was an anti-vaxxer and the only way he could be made to get the jab was by his wife literally pulling him to hospital.

The Instagram page 'Gossip do Dia' ('Today's Gossip'), which has 6.5 million followers, posted the clip with the caption: "People! In the state of Alagoas, a woman took her anti-vax husband to get vaccinated.

"A person who was at the place recorded the moment and you can clearly see him sitting down and tied up while his wife waits standing up, holding the rope,” they wrote.

One woman wrote the video was “showing that she’s the boss”.

"Women. Always very intelligent, aren't they?" another woman wrote.

According to the latest statistics, 70.5 per cent of the Brazilian population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with 361 million total doses given.
