A Perth woman aged in her eighties has celebrated a particularly special birthday this year, winning millions in the Saturday Lotto.

A friend of the woman purchased the winning Slikpik 12 from the NewsXpress Bunbury Forum, and gifted it to her to commemorate the special day.

The $1.6m prize has since “topped all (her) other birthday presents”, the woman said.

“I’ve been so stressed about the win, I said to myself ‘God don’t let me die yet’, I want to share this with my family and friends,” she said.

This win was one of two Division One prizes to be drawn from a special $10m Saturday Lotto draw last weekend.

Lotterywest is owned by the WA Government — the only one of its kind in the country.

All available profits made by the company are reportedly returned to the community through direct grants and statutory allocations.

OZ Lotto and Powerball, which have both jackpotted to $20m, will both be drawn next week.
