Woman disgusted by surprise find in KFC – but what is it?

WARNING – GRAPHIC CONTENT: A woman has been turned off KFC after a surprise find in her chicken underneath the secret herbs and spices.

The self-proclaimed “lover of nugs” posted a picture on Facebook last week of the KFC chicken she says she purchased from Parramatta in Sydney’s west.

Pictured falling out of the half-eaten chicken is what she said looks like a brain.

“I’m a fan of KFC chicken, don’t get me wrong,” she wrote.

“I love nugs as much as the next person but today, upon purchasing what I had hoped would be some finger lickin’ good chicken from KFC Parramatta, I was horrified to find what looks like …. brains,” she wrote.

“This is not a typo, yep I mean brains, buried under your delicious secret herbs and spices.

“Imagine my horror, nausea and disappointment. I wish it didn’t affect me as much as it does but this has put a real strain on my relationship with KFC.”

The fast food giant commented on the post, suggesting it was likely a piece of kidney and not a brain.

Many disturbed customers commented on the post, with some saying The Colonel should be disappointed.

“That is the worst thing I have ever seen. Soooo bad. Shame on you KFC,” one wrote.

Another joked: “I love Kentucky Fried Cerebrum.”

Other customers suggested the discovery was “not that bad” and wasn’t a brain or a kidney and instead intestines or a piece of thigh.

Vegetarians and vegans slammed carnivores for complaining about the find in the chicken.

“If you can eat an animal, then be prepared to deal with it,” one said.

KFC said the find was not a health issue.

“We can confirm it’s not brains, but rest-assured it’s not a health issue. Our chicken is hand-prepared and cooked fresh, but occasionally mistakes happen and organs are not removed when they should have been,” A KFC spokesperson said.

“We are trying to contact the customer and are reminding our teams to take extra care.”
