Wife's hidden camera catches husband poisoning her coffee

A hidden camera has caught a man poisoning his wife while making her coffee.

Therese Kozlowski was suspicious of Brian Kozlowski and put cameras in the kitchen of their home in Detroit, Michigan in 2018.

The couple’s marriage was pending divorce at the time but has since been finalised.

Ms Kozlowski said she felt tired and sick and had blurred vision after drinking the tainted coffee.

She told a judge on Thursday (local time) that she considered the poisoning “attempted murder.”

Her ex-husband, who apologised in court, pleaded no contest to a poisoning drink charge in June.

His lawyer Brian Legghio said his client has “profound remorse” and was going through an “ugly divorce”.

According to newspaper Macomb Daily, the court heard the pair’s adult daughter also drank the coffee.

“Once Brian realised he lost me and there was no getting me to stay in this unhealthy marriage, his goal was to eliminate me,” she told the court according to the paper.

“To think that the man I fell in love with at 16-years-old and have three beautiful children with would endanger my life was unbelievable.”

He’s been sentenced to up to 60 days’ jail.
