'Bogan housos': Bloody brawl erupts in Adelaide's south
One man has been arrested and another taken to hospital following a bloody early morning street-fight in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.
The victim of the brawl returned home after being released from hospital sporting a large cut to his head that required multiple staples.
“Me, I’m great, I’m great mate,” the man responded to questions about his condition.
Neighbours Amber and Tracy watched the drama unfold.
“If you don’t stand up for each other you get stomped on. We don’t live in the brightest, beautiful spectacular suburb, we’re bogan housos, that’s the bottom line,” Amber told 7 News.
Police said the brawlers were known to each other but are now seeking witnesses to come forward to shed some light on the fight that erupted just before 5am.
Forensic officers found a knife and an iron bar at the scene, with reports a letter box was also thrown through a front window.
Residents claim the injured man was an innocent bystander that got in the middle of an argument.
“Have a drink, have fun, if it escalates and you get upset over something, leave, just go,” Amber added.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour.
