WA has best pie

It's official: Australia's best meat pie has been baked by a former Vietnamese refugee and master baker Long Hoang at his northern suburbs commercial bakery. Hoang and his wife Twee Nguyen own the Bread Provisions Bakery and Patisserie in Wangara and attribute the success of their nation-beating pie to top ingredients.

Their pie was judged outright winner against nearly 1000 entries in the Official Great Aussie Pie competition, run by the Baking Association of Australia.
