Stunning Supermoon Seen Rising Over Los Angeles Skyline

An impressive supermoon, the only one of the year locally, was seen rising over south California on Sunday, December 3.

This video shared on Instagram by photographer Robert James Hughes shows the supermoon rising over the skyline of Los Angeles.

A supermoon is “a moon that is full when it is also at or near its closest point in its orbit around Earth”, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
