Victoria Police Detective Senior Constable Matthew Jerabek said it was “disturbing” the pair not only attacked Mr Singh but that one of them came back to continue their assault.

“They acted like animals and don’t deserve to be on the streets,” he said.

Mr Singh has been unable to work since he was attacked and has sought psychological help.

He said he won’t be able to go back behind the wheel until he knows his two assailants are caught.
