Woman steals luggage from airport carousel, breaks into victim's home

Police are on the case after a woman allegedly stole suitcases from a Melbourne airport before a victim's home was robbed.

A number of suitcases were stolen from the Terminal 4 carousel at Tullamarine Airport by a woman about 3pm on 20 November last year.

Police believe the same woman then robbed the home of one of the people who had their luggage stolen.

Officers have been told electrical goods, cash and jewellery were stolen during the burglary, at Alma Avenue, Altona Meadows, in Melbourne's west.

Police have released an image of a blonde woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquires, and appealed for help as they try and apprehend the thief.

It is not known whether the victim's house keys were left in the passenger's suitcase and used to enter the home.
