James Packer facing possible legal action after 'inhuman' altercation with one of his bouncers

The 60-year-old security guard said he collapsed while on the way home after he was fired for refusing James Packer entry to his own casino.

Billionaire casino baron James Packer could face possible legal action following an altercation with one of his Crown Melbourne bouncers who refused him entry to the gaming floor.

Crown security guard Dr Iskandar Chaban collapsed after he was told he would be fired on the spot after a New Year's Day confrontation with the billionaire owner and senior Crown executive Ishan Ratnam.

The 60-year-old Dr Chaban said the confrontation was verbal and physical, sparked when he did not recognise Packer as he tried to enter the floor around lunchtime, News Corp reports.

"I was just doing my job," the father-of-three said.

"I had no idea who the men were at first. How they treated me was inhuman."

Dr Chaban claims he was verbally and physically assaulted when his bosses screamed at him and pushed him aside to force their entry into the gaming floor at Crown Towers in Melbourne before he was told he would be immediately sacked.

While on his way home, Dr Chaban collapsed and was taken to hospital where he was treated for shock and back pain.

The Syrian migrant who has lived in Australia for 25 years has since sought legal advice from a Melbourne law firm.

Crown denied the guard was sacked, with News Corp reporting he was suspended then reinstated after a routine enquiry.

A Crown spokesperson said the entire event and alleged sacking was a "minor incident" sprung from a "collision" and a "misunderstanding".

Dr Chaban, who has PhD in philosophy, said he "did nothing wrong" and "I didn't deserve the way I was treated".
