CCTV video: Stolen car slams into shop after police chase
Dramatic vision has emerged of a stolen car crashing through the front window of a shop in Melbourne's north.
The driver was involved in a police pursuit minutes earlier.
Officers attempted to intercept the car on Pascoe Vale Road, in Broadmeadows, before the driver sped off.
He then lost control of the car, struck a metal bin and fire hydrant before crashing into two shop windows.
The male driver fled the crash scene and a subsequent police search failed to find him.
The incident was caught on security camera.
