'Melbourne suicide bomber was weak'

An Islamic State (IS) insider has revealed chilling details about the Melbourne teenager who reportedly blew himself up in a suicide bombing.

IS propaganda claims 18-year-old 'Jihadi Jake' Bilardi died in an attack on an Iraqi army outpost in Ramadi last week.

The Iraqi government says the bombing was unsuccessful and that the teenager had only killed himself.

In an online blog post, IS sympathiser Abu Ismail said Bilardi had ‘sold his soul to Allah cheaply.’

He revealed the schoolboy would fast most days and that he was ridiculed for his 'weak body.'

But Ismail said Bilardi was still full on happiness in the weeks before his death.

"He was a lion on the battlefield although he was at a young age and with a weak body, he was like a mountain," Ismail wrote.

He also revealed the teenager had been 'at war' with his parents since he converted to Islam three years ago.

"This brother originated from an atheist family and ended up selling his soul to Allah for a cheap price, to … give victory to this religion," the posting said.
