Victorians share $50m Powerball draw

Three lucky punters from Victoria have struck it rich after winning a massive share in last night's $50m Powerball jackpot draw.

A man in Victoria, who did not want to be named, bought his winning ticket online and plans to share his good fortune with his family.

"I'm still in disbelief," he said. "I don't need that amount of money, it's too much for me."

"I'm going to share the prize money with my family. I'll make sure it doesn't change who I am, but I'll definitely be able to live a better lifestyle, with a few more toys."

"I love being out on the water, so I'll buy myself a boat and a jet ski, and my kids have been wanting the new iPhone six so they can have now that and I might spoil them each with a new car."

The Victorian man will share the division one prize with another lucky couple from Rowville and a punter in Western Australia. Each take home a whopping $16,666,666.67.

The couple, who also wants to remain anonymous, bought their ticket in a south eastern suburbs newsagency.

The winner said she and her husband thought they were dreaming when they woke up to discover they had scooped a portion of the massive prize.

"We've dreamed of this but you never think its going to happen to you," she said.

"When I saw that we had all of them (the numbers) I was so shocked, I ran to the bedroom where my husband was asleep and I turned on the light and was waving the Powerball ticket in his face to wake him up.

"He thought it was literally a dream me standing there yelling we won Powerball. He still couldn't believe it when he woke up this morning."

The winning numbers were: 13, 9, 26, 18, 4 and 34. The Powerball was number 3.
