A Melbourne man has made this festive season one to remember - proposing to his long-term girlfriend in front of crowds of shoppers in Bourke Street Mall.
Dave Wilkinson got down on one knee and popped the question to his shocked partner Janae Collins at the Myer Christmas window display.
There were cheers of joy as Janae accepted his proposal, with the special moment captured exclusively by a 7News camera crew.
The unbelievably romantic proposal came after weeks of meticulous planning.
It is a life-long tradition for Janae to visit the Myer Christmas windows and Dave thought it offered the perfect festive backdrop for a proposal.
The newly engaged couple, who have been together for four-and-a-half years and live in Port Melbourne, say this Christmas will be one to remember.
