Facebook house party gets out of control

Neighbours are living in fear after a house in their street was trashed during a series of wild teenage parties.

Host Jackson Arru told the Herald Sun he was expecting a small crowd at his most recent bash on Saturday night to celebrate his 18th birthday.

But the party drew more than 100 drunk and rowdy teens after it was promoted on Facebook.

The originally 'civilised' gathering quickly turned into a destructive rampage as youths began smashing windows, doors, and ceilings.

Mr Arru admits he may have sparked guests' riotous behaviour by smashing his own head through a plaster wall.

Fuelled by alcohol, copycat teens then began demolishing the house interior with their feet and hands, the newspaper reports.

At one point, a lawnmower with its motor running was pushed through the hallway.

Terrified residents say teenagers have been using this house to host drunken, destructive and violent gatherings for several months.

They say anti-social behaviour is a real problem in the area, and fear it's going to happen again this weekend.

One resident told 7News: "It's terrifying.

"There's 50 kids standing out in the street near our cars. You're not going to go up and say 'move along' because you don't know what they are going to do."

Police were called to the Grand Central Blvd property following several complaints about loud music.

An under-aged drinker was also removed during Saturday night's wild bash.

Despite extensive damage, Mr Arru, who lives alone at the house, is already considering when to throw another bash.

It is understood the house is owned by Mr Arru's family.

The destruction occurred just a few suburbs away from where a notorious party was thrown by Corey Worthington four years ago.

It is believed there is another party planned for the weekend.
