A woman has fainted just seconds after being found guilty of conspiring to murder her ex-husband.

Footage from inside the courtroom shows Lovejoy looking around the room in shock as the verdict was read out before becoming overwhelmed with the news and slumping in her chair.

Her head fell back and cries could be heard in the court as her lawyer and a court officer rushed to her aid, and lay her down to receive medical treatment before paramedics restrained her and took her to hospital .

Lovejoy's episode delayed her 50-year-old co-defendant's verdict reading, who was also found guilty of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Gun instructor Weldon McDavid Jr, who testified as a trained marksman, shot Mr Mulvihill in the arm on September 1 several weeks before he was due to receive a $120,000 payout from Lovejoy after a prolonged and heated separation.

Mr Mulvihill was lured to a deserted roadside spot after receiving a phone call alleging the unknown caller had information from a private detective on ex-wife Lovejoy.

Lovejoy is facing 25 years to life behind bars while McDavid will be handed anywhere from 50 years to life.

The pair will be sentenced on December 12.
