Urgent recall on bunk beds over fears of collapsing
A number of bunk beds have been recalled over fears they may collapse resulting in a serious injury or death.
The ACCC issued the recall over seven models from Melbourne-based retailer Fitting Furniture on Tuesday.
There are concerns the plastic brackets holding the bunk beds together may crack or break if over-tightened, or if repeated jumping on or climbing over the sides of the bed occurs.
The affected Fitting Furniture bunk beds:

The beds were available for sale from February 22, 2016, to May 30, 2019.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the bunk bed and contact Fitting Furniture to receive a free of charge set of upgraded replacement metal brackets, including a new set of fixing screws and covers.
Each set will come with instructions for the replacement of the current brackets with the upgraded metal brackets.
Fitting Furniture is a manufacturing company located in the south eastern Melbourne suburbs, they sell products online and with other retailers.
