Uber Eats delivery driver caught out in brazen act

If you’ve ever been worried about your Uber Eats driver helping themselves to your order, this footage probably isn’t going to ease your suspicions.

Security cameras outside an apartment complex in Melbourne have captured sneaky food delivery employee approaching the door with the goods.

But as he waits for the recipient to come to the door, he slides his hand in, picks out a sizeable potato chip and tucks in.

Handing over the bag just moments later, the delivery driver thinks he’s got away with it, certainly not worried that he’s about to become the subject of discussion on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast Radio with Eddie McGuire, who obtained the footage.

“This has been a bit of a common occurrence at my place where sometimes the Uber [Eats] comes in and you go ‘it’s a bit light’,” McGuire said.

“Anyway, so a good friend of mine had the home security system going and he said ‘you need to come and have a look at this one, old pal’.”

While co-host Wil Anderson empathised with the “poor guy”, saying he probably deserved the chip, social media users weren’t quite as forgiving.

“Don’t know where his hands have been,” one man commented on the vision.

“I reckon I’ve had the same delivery guy. I’ll be suss from now on,” another joked.
