Tragic new details revealed after porn star's sudden death

New details have emerged about the tragic death of transgender porn star Angelina Please after she was found dead in her locked Las Vegas apartment on Tuesday.

It's believed the adult entertainer — whose real name is Francesca Montalbano — had been doing ketamine, a party drug, the night she died, her mum Stephanie told Daily Mail.

Stephanie reported the 24-year-old missing after she didn't hear from her for five days. She last spoke to her daughter on Friday the March 11 and by Monday she was "frantic".

When police found her four days after her death, she was reportedly "unrecognisable".

Ms Montalbano's body was allegedly found next to drug paraphernalia, the publication reports. There were reportedly no signs of foul play or violence.

Stephanie revealed her daughter often dabbled in "party drugs" like cocaine and ketamine, and although an official cause of death has not yet been provided, she believes a "bad batch" of drugs caused her daughter's death.

The adult entertainer and her grieving mum often spoke about the 24-year-old's drug use, and while Stephanie didn't approve, she simply told her to "be careful".

"She wasn't an addict...she did have some issues with methamphetamine a few years ago. Then recently she started doing the party drugs," the mum said.

"I didn't like her doing it but I'm not stupid. I know the scene she was in and that people do drugs."

Stephanie will travelled to Nevada from Chicago on Saturday to formally identify her daughter.

Ms Montalbano's sibling Lonnie Montalbano set up a GoFundMe page following her death to help cover the cost of bringing her body home. They've so far raised over $21,000 (AU$28,400).

"This is something I never imagined having to do for my baby sister," the page reads.

"Francesca was loved by so many, so special in a million different ways and showed so much promise."

Tributes flow from family and friends: 'Kind and beautiful person'

Following the news of her death, people who knew Ms Montalbano shared their devastation online.

Neighbour and fellow adult entertainer Aspen Brooks said her friend was an "amazing person" and said she's "in a better place now".

Production company Grooby described her as "popular among other models, producers and fans".

"I’m in shock reading this. Angelina was such a kind and beautiful person who was also an exceptional performer. RIP gorgeous," fellow performer Kylie Le Beau Tweeted.
