WATCH: Tourist captures crocodile devouring carcass on Qld beach
A tourist has filmed a huge crocodile devouring a carcass on a Queensland beach.
While Kate Rogers, from Darwin, wasn't necessarily shocked all that much to see a crocodile given where she's from, it was what the crocodile was doing that had her spend 10 minutes filming it.
Spending her morning walking along Cardwell's foreshore in far North Queensland, Ms Rogers didn't expect to see a crocodile feasting on a carcass, Cairns Post reports.
She says she noticed a large dead fish on the beach at first.

“I went to have a look, and there were a few people standing around watching,” she said. “They told me a croc was coming, so I stepped back a bit.”
Video footage captured by Ms Rogers shows the reptile swimming towards the fish.
The crocodile can be seen making several bites into the grouper before eventually giving up and swimming off.
Even though her hometown is full of crocs, Ms Rogers said she was "amazed".
“I think they are just incredible creatures,” she said.
