TikTok user imitating music video challenge ends up in hospital

A TikTok user has ended up in hospital after trying to replicate dance moves inspired by Cardi B’s latest hit.

Earlier this month, rapper Cardi B released her new single and music video featuring fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, and ‘WAP’ immediately received critical acclaim for its sex-positive message.

Considering WAP had the internet buzzing, it’s no surprised the raunchy video spawned various iterations of a viral TikTok challenge.

WAP has inspired some impressive TikTok videos, and it appears the most famous version of the challenge was started by Brian Esperon, a choreographer, who uploaded the video on August 8 according to Pop Buzz.

While some have stunned the platform with their skills, one woman has vowed to never do ‘the WAP dance’ again after attempting what may have been Esperon’s dance.

TikTok user @lib_bbbbbbb, or Lib, shared just a few seconds of her trying to dance along to the song, before the video cuts to a photo of her lying on the ground.

“Popped her knee out doing a TikTok dance,” the caption says.

“Can’t make this up.”

The TikTok video then shows a picture of Lib on a stretcher, with what appears to be a paramedic tending to her knee.

She then shares shots of her lying in hospital, knee in a brace and IV in arm, she is yet to upload another TikTok video and it appears she hasn’t given an update on how she is going.

The video has since amassed over two million views and the comments are filled with people wishing her all the best, while others were desperate for more information.

“What did you tell the emergency staff?” someone asked.

Cardi B also saw the video and shared it to her Instagram, cautioning people to be safe.

“Please guys be safe while doing the WAP WAP WAP,” the rapper said in her caption.
