Three children among the injured in Russian airstrike on Derhachi, Kharkiv Oblast
Russia attacked the town of Derhachi in Kharkiv Oblast, injuring four people, including three children, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram on April 26.
The victims include girls aged 16 and 5, a boy aged 4 and a woman aged 52. They were treated on the spot.
The aggressor attacked the central part of the town with guided aerial bombs.
As a result of the strike, a two-story building caught fire.
Emergency services are clearing the impact site.
Russian attacks on Kharkiv city and oblast
The frequency of Russian assaults on Kharkiv city and its surrounding areas has increased recently. On April 7, a substantial attack was launched against both Kharkiv and its oblast, marking a continued escalation in hostilities.
Families with children in 47 frontline settlements in Kharkiv Oblast were being forcibly evacuated, said governor Oleh Syniehubov.
Russia started to attack settlements that had not been attacked a month ago.
Syniehubov also said that the aggressor has changed its tactics and is now striking twice at the same place, targeting Ukrainian emergency services.
After the most massive Russian attack on the power system on March 22, Kharkiv was almost completely left without electricity. Rotating outages are in place in the region.
American media report that Russia has intensified its attacks on Kharkiv because the Kremlin wants to make the city an uninhabitable "gray zone."
